Our Mission Statement
As disciples of Jesus Christ, our mission is both local and global. We look to extend the Kingdom of God through:
- Biblical teaching and prayer
- Caring fellowship
- Living worship
- Ongoing evangelism
- Practical service
Deacons, with the Minister, are responsible for the leadership of the church, the fulfilment of its purpose, the pastoral care of its members and its day-to-day management and administration.
Meet the Minister
Lee Presley, with Michelle and the family joined us in September, 2009.
Lee studied at South Wales Baptist College.
As a guitar player he leads the worship group.
What sort of church are we?
We are a warm (literally) and welcoming church made up of people from all walks of life.
The Services on Sunday are at 10.30, and include Communion once a month.
Our music includes songs and hymns accompanied by a worship group and the words are projected onto a large screen, as are the Bible readings.
The services are recorded, and anyone wishing for a CD can request one at the end of the service. We take them to those who are unable to come to worship, to help them feel part of the family.
We have a Children's Corner where young children can be with their parents during the service until they feel happy to join in the "Little Fishes Creche". "Lighthouse" has a programme catering for 3s to 11s. "Rock Solid" is a group for teenagers.
Coffee, tea, squash and biscuits are served after the service, and this is a great time to get to know each other better.
We try to be an inclusive church, and we have wheelchair access, disabled toilets and a loop system (just switch your hearing aid to 'T').
You might like to know that our congregation includes fluent speakers of French, Greek, Italian, Romanian and Latvian.
